Okay, someone explain to me..

HOW is Taylor Swift’s video to ‘Wildest Dreams’ racist?? Racism is to discriminate or to hate a race. Although there are no people of color in her video, that doesn’t mean to say she hated black people enough to make sure they weren’t included in her video. Furthermore, I don’t even see any cultural appropriation in the video either, it’s simply a video theme of her filming a movie in the wild. What I really don’t get, though, is at the end it says money made from her video will go to Wild Life Protection. So why. Why. Why. Are people getting angry at things like this and finding reasons to get angry when I don’t see anything there?? If someone has an honest to god accurate explanation, I would honestly love to learn and be educated.

Because the time period referred to in the video (the style etc.) is colonial time in africa when the africans weren’t considered real people by the whites who came in,  alot of violence and slavery ensued as a result (against the africans, who were seen as uncivilized nonhuman savages). The role Taylor appears to be portraying in the video is that of the white people from that time. Also it seems like shes just using the scenery and completely ignoring all this . idk i hate her anyways :) yeah hope that explains it?
